Levi's Lava Blog

While we were in the Galapagos we got off our boat to go on a small hike on the lava fields.  About 200 years ago in the Galagpagos a volcano erupted and then the lava crystallized.  Before it crystallized, the wind blew it and made big lumps in the lava.  The cactus was pretty much the only plant growing in the lava fields.

While we were hiking we found a big crack in the lava.  Mac, Wiley and I climbed down the big crack and I found a little snake, but it wasn't venomous!  Mac was happy because he wanted to catch it really bad but it's not allowed because they're protected.
